What Artificial Intelligence (AI) does FastRedaction use to automate the video redaction process?
Broadly speaking AI is a computer program that does something smart. FastRedaction.com uses the subset of AI called machine learning. The machine learning algorithm maximizes the likelihood of its prediction being true. The FastRedaction.com algorithm currently finds high-likelihood faces in every video frame. It also allows users to automatically redact other objects of interest such as nametags, street signs, or driver’s licenses.
Does FastRedaction have a maximum file size?
Yes. Files larger than 5 GB cannot be uploaded.
Does FastRedaction have a limit to the number of files that can be uploaded at a time?
Yes. A user can upload up to five files at a time.
Does FastRedaction accept any file format?
FastRedaction supports the majority of standard video formats, including .mp4, .mov, .avi, .mpg, .webm, and .wmv. FastRedaction also accepts the .mp3, .wav, .m4a, .wma, or .aac audio file formats. Additionally, FastRedaction supports the .jpg (.jpeg) and .png photo file formats. If FastRedaction fails to process your video format, we recommend converting the video to one of these standard formats or contacting us for further assistance.
How long does it take to upload and auto-redact a video?
Depends on video size. Upload time also depends on your internet connection speed. For example, a 10-minute HD video will typically be about 300 megabytes, and take about 4 minutes to upload (on a 10 megabit per second internet connection). Auto-redaction processing time will take about the same length of time as the video length, in this case 10 minutes. Total time to “ready to edit” in this example will be about 14 minutes.
